The product
VideoSignal lets a company create a shareable collection link with its own settings and requested media. A recipient can open that link, upload a file, or record a video live without entering the company's internal workflow.
I worked on the product as a full-stack engineer across capture, storage integrations, and media analysis.
Configurable capture links
Each link can be configured around the material a company needs: images, PDFs, video, or a live recording. The capture flow gives the recipient a focused interface while preserving the settings and context selected by the company.
Connected storage
Captured data does not have to remain in platform-owned object storage. Companies can connect Google Drive or Dropbox and route collected files directly into the storage they already use.
That flow requires more than an upload button: connection state, destination selection, file metadata, error handling, and a clear handoff from capture to the selected provider all need to remain consistent.
Analysis across media types
The analysis tools accept images, video, documents, and audio. Depending on the input, users can request:
- transcription;
- a concise summary;
- useful segments; or
- answers to specific questions about the material.
The interface keeps capture and analysis connected, so a collected asset can move into review without a separate manual export and import step.
My contribution
My work covered both sides of the product: user-facing flows and the backend behavior behind uploads, live recording, connected storage, and analysis requests. The goal was a predictable path from a public capture link to usable company data.
